Spiders are awesome!

Spiders are cool little dudes that can help around your house and yard. There are a lot of misconceptions, so here are some facts I've found. Citations can be found in the cool things section.

• Spiderlings(baby spiders) are able to hunt and catch food after they hatch!
• Spiders are not insects, but arachnids. They have eight legs and 6-8 eyes, while insects have six legs and only two eyes!

• Spiders have spinnerets that produce the silk they use to make webs!
• Not all spiders build webs, some just use them to get down from high places or wrapping their eggs or prey!
• 
• A wolf spider mother will carry her spiderlings on her back!
• 
• Jumping spiders don't actually put water on their heads. Most of the pictures you see are actually from a photographer named Uda Dennie!
• 
• Despite all their bad rep, spiders are very nice to have around the home and garden. They eat a lot of pests!
